Response to storage room ordeal

Letter to the Editor:

I would like to comment on the article in the March 18 Sunny South News. Very unfortunate that this woman had such a bad experience but she also does say “it was more than 24 hours.” Likely not much more or she would have said so.

I was also admitted to Lethbridge Regional Hospital (LRH) in March and given a “storage” room area. Truthfully, I was very “thankful” that a spot was available for me. Yes, the bathroom was across the hall but not a great problem. I was very grateful to receive the best care by doctors and nurses, that I could possibly have asked for. After three days I was moved to a maternity overflow room with three other patients. The storage room had been much more private and quiet, yet I was being looked after wherever I was.
