A boil water order for Lethbridge North County Water Co-op customers has been lifted.
On Sept. 18, during construction a Lethbridge County pipe was breached. Because this pipe had fed into the LNCWC water lines, a boil water order was issued while the pipe was prepared, the lines were flushed and sample were sent off for testing.
“This was completely beyond our control,” said Martin Nordstrom, operations manger of the LNCWC.
“It was not one of our lines. It was a feeder line owned by (Lethbridge County) that was damaged, and our lines feed off of that line.
“The line had to be shut off overnight, and then repaired the next morning, so that’s what happened.”
Test results came back indicating that the water was safe for consumption, and Alberta Health Services lifted the boil water order on Saturday, Sept 22.
