Contractor killed in fatal accident at McCain Foods construction site

A contracter has died following an accident at the McCain Foods jobsite at Chin, Alta. east of Coaldale on July 17.

While the exact circumstances of the incident are unclear, the worker fell from an undisclosed height and did not survive his injuries. The victim was a subcontractor working for Fisher/Dawson Wallace Construction Ltd. 

Dawson Wallace Construction and Coaldale RCMP say investigations are ongoing, and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety is also investigating the fatality.

The worker’s name was not released.
