For more than 40 years, Coaldale has celebrated the achievements of local residents and businesses. As the nomination window for the 43rd Annual Awards Appreciation Banquet draws to a close, the excitement for the February 8 event is palpable.
Robert Woolf, Coaldale Chamber of Commerce President, explains, “This is the annual appreciation banquet for the businesses we represent. It is also our major fundraiser for the year. The Town and the Chamber work closely together to ensure we honour both businesses (on the Chamber side) and citizens (on the Town side).”
The awards celebrate outstanding achievements such as: business of the year, customer service of the year, citizen of the year (individual and group), special tribute, male and female athlete of the year, arts and recreational leader of the year, community artist of the year, youth citizen of the year, and the environmental excellence award. There are stringent criteria to be met in all categories, including participating in, and being a good ambassador for, the community of Coaldale.
Tickets will be available through the Chamber.
