Capital Projects Update:

Lethbridge County councillors heard the first capital project update of 2025, at the Jan. 24 regular meeting. In a presentation by director of development and infrastructure Devon Thiele, councillors heard a brief update on several current capital projects in the county and their progress, challenges, and any significant changes.

A schedule of capital project updates was also noted for the coming year, that includes a rotation of brief and detailed updates in the winter, spring, summer and fall months in 2025.

In addition to capital projects, Thiele also touched on a regional project update.

The county’s capital projects are designed to address key infrastructure needs, improve service delivery and meet the community’s long-term growth objectives.

Oldman Watershed Council Funding:

Lethbridge County councillors agreed to provide additional funding to the Oldman Watershed Council, from the council operating budget, after receiving a request from the organization.

The total funding amount came to $4,959, which equates to about 49 cents per resident.
