The Picture Butte Fish and Game club wishes to thank everyone for an amazing 2024 season. Many activities were carried out and the help and involvement of the community are greatly appreciated.

June 1, 2024, we had our record-breaking 16th annual Eddy Stroeve Memorial Youth Fishing Derby. 150+ kids showed up with a combined catch of 111 fish. At the end everyone enjoyed a lunch of burgers and hotdogs, and the kids all got to choose a prize. The smiles around the building was the story, congrats to everyone involved.

July 6, 2024, we had our 2nd annual 3D archery shoot which was another great success. Two courses of 18 targets each, down in the river bottom by Picture Butte. Nearly 40 archers registered to participate in either compound or traditional shooting. Prizes were gifted to the 1st and 2nd place winners in each category, as well as a long range shoot off.

January 4, 2025, we held our scoring day. Once again a bunch of great animals were brought in, and the stories poured out. Congrats to all our successful hunters this past season, and good luck to everyone this year again.

January 24, 2025, was our 49th annual Awards Banquet. Another great turnout and sellout crowd enjoyed a delicious meal of various different meats and vegetables. The awards for the winning participants in the scoring day were handed out. A list of the winners is in the picture provided. The evening was finished off with some awesome raffle prizes, a silent auction, and a live auction. And to change things up a little, this year we had a wine auction instead of a whiskey auction. No men allowed. It was a great success once again. Thank you to both Green Acres 4H club for helping with serving and Lethbridge Northern 4H club for helping with cleanup. Much appreciated.

Again, a huge shoutout to everyone that was involved in any of the activities we hosted, and more. It could not happen with all the great volunteers that we have every time. We hope everyone had a great time and look forward to it all happening again this year.

We are always looking to have more people join our club and become volunteers themselves. As we all know, many hands make light work. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Travis @ (403)-715-4508, or John @ (403)-308-9118.
