The Coaldale Custom Cruisers meets every second Wednesday at the Coaldale Motor Inn at 7 p.m.

Gary Klassen, President of the Coaldale Custom Cruisers, says the organization has been around since 2001.

“It is where a bunch of car guys get together and discuss everything about cars and events for cars,” said Klassen. “The club was started by five guys who were sitting around having a drink and they decided to start a Coaldale Car Club.”

During the car-related events, Klassen says, the Coaldale Custom Cruisers usually has a 50/50 draw and they donate to the Coaldale Food Bank.

Klassen says that in terms of events, the club will be having their car show on May 26, and it will be held at the bowl of the R.I. Baker School and registration for that will be on that day from 10 a.m. until noon, and the show will be from Noon till 4 p.m.

Klassen says that the club will also hold a second car show on Coaldale’s Main Street during Coaldale Summer Fest. The club, Klassen says, has also done a collection of cruises, car shows, and barbecues as well.

Anyone is allowed to join the club, Klassen says, and those who are interested in joining can come to one of the meetings or call Klassen at 403-330-4598.

“All you have to do to belong to our club is to like cars, and want to hang out with other people that enjoy cars,” said Klassen. “We have a great group that support each other and are friends and like hanging out together.”
