I was taken by ambulance to CRH because about 9 p.m. on Dec 5, 2013, I slipped and fell while turning off the lights on the wall near the Advent Wreath. I tried to get up but failed so I called my wife, who was still at the back of the church. She called our friends and they brought a set of crutches but it was worthless. They called the Ambulance and I was taken to emergency at the CRH, but had to wait until 3 a.m. before I could get an x-ray of my right femur. I was in a lot of pain for two days and the orthopedic surgeon finally operated. My right leg was black and blue, and I could hardly move because the pain was intolerable. They administered tramadol all the while I was there.
Then on Dec 30, 2013, I was back in the hospital because I almost passed out in the middle of the night due to blood clot. The ambulance arrived in ttwo minutes and my wife and our friend followed in his car. I was not looking forward to spend New Year’s Day in hospital; however, it was not my choice to get sick. I was admitted in a private room and later to semi-private. I kept my faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ, and read the Liturgy of the Hours, and prayed the Rosary four times a day.
Then on Jan. 5, 2014, I fell asleep at midnight and had an awesome dream that I was in heaven. A voice called to me in the background “Do you believe in me”? I replied, yes I do. When I opened my eyes I saw the Pearly Gates. There were no people, but beautiful technicolor lights pointing upwards in colors of red, white, blue, and green. It almost looked like tongues of fire during Pentecost. When I woke up at 5am I felt relaxed and felt real good. I was discharged from hospital the same day.
