Nominations for Racheal Thomas’s 2024 Community Builders Awards are now open.
In a recent media release, Rachael Thomas, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lethbridge, said, “Every spring, I put out a call for nominations and receive many heart-warming stories of individuals, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations who freely give of their time, talent, and resources to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.”
Nominations for the awards can be made by residents of The City and County of Lethbridge to acknowledge anyone who has demonstrated a commitment to going above and beyond and making a positive difference in the community.
Previous recipients include retirees, veterans, farmers, foster parents, educators, artists, athletes, social workers, coaches, entrepreneurs, emergency responders, and student volunteers, to list a few.
Awards will be presented to winners selected by a panel of community members at a special ceremony in the fall and are presented in the following four categories: youth leader, adult leader, not-for-profit leader, and business leader.
The deadline for submissions is May 17, and nomination forms can be either picked up at MP Thomas’ office or found and submitted online at http://www.RachaelThomas.ca.
“These folks don’t expect to be acknowledged or honoured in any way, which makes it extra special to recognize them. They serve selflessly for the sake of others and make a remarkable difference in our community. I look forward to celebrating them,” Thomas said in the release.
“If your life has been positively impacted by the investment of someone in our community, please nominate them today.”
