Due West Tire: Local, community minded, and committed to quality

Local, family-owned and operated, Due West Tire Co. serves Coaldale and area with a variety of quality, affordable tires for any make or model, backed by consistency of service and high attention to detail. From tire sales and accessories, maintenance, and emergency repair (in shop, on site and after hours) one call is all you need for all your tire needs.

Due West Tire is co-owned by Ben and Suzanna Neufeld and Peter and Lisa Berg.

Ben says, “As an owners/operators of small trucking companies, my brother-in-law, Peter Berg, and I saw the potential and need for a tire shop here in Coaldale that could service the community and surrounding areas. It gave us an opportunity to continue working in an industry we love without having to spend long periods of time away from our families. Together, with our wives, we opened Due West Tire.”

He continues, “Being in Southern Alberta, the market can be quite saturated, but this has not stopped us from growing each year. We find it important to work with other shops instead of against them so we can give all our customers the best possible service.”

Suzanna adds, “The greatest reward is the presence we have made in our community. Being a family-run business, we pride ourselves in treating every customer like family. When they walk through the door, they are met with warmth and pride.”

Supporting other local businesses has, “helped give us a better understanding of business, and also helped to build relationships that enable all of us to succeed.”

Due West Tire is very active in the community. You’ll find them supporting the annual candy parade, among other events and charitable organizations.

“The candy parade gives us the opportunity to get out in the community while also bringing our staff and families together for a fun day,” says Ben.

They conclude, “What we love is that this is a community bonded by attitudes, values, and goals. We understand that it is the community that got us to where we are. We will never take for granted the kindness, compassion, and social connection the community has given to us. We love Coaldale! Our kids go to school here and have participated in school activities, sports teams, and community activities. This is home. Giving back to our community is a way to thank everyone for the support and love they have shown us since we started this shop in 2021.

With winter coming, they provide this important tip. “Check your tire pressure regularly. Cold weather can bring down the tire pressure. Proper inflation can extend the life of your tires and improve fuel efficiency.”
