One game only this past weekend, a win against Three Hills, brings the Coaldale Copperheads up to a nine-game winning streak once again.
A recap of the Snakes, indicated they came out strong with Colby Murray scoring the first goal just twenty-eight seconds into the game.
At the three-minute mark, Connor Gross made it 2-0.
Three Hills fought back and tied the game by the end of the first period.
Gross had another strong second, getting the third goal and his line mate Craig Lyon got the fourth. The C-line had another strong game. The Thrashers attempted to put a third one past goaltender Dillan Kelly.
Come the third period, Alex Barthel put the fifth one in, to seal the 5-3 win.
This brings the Copperheads record to date of 29-5-1.
This coming weekend the Copperheads travel to Okotoks on Friday night for an 8 p.m. game. Saturday night, don’t miss Fan Appreciation night.
It’s back home for a 8:30 p.m. puck drop at the Snake Pit against High River.
