Coaldale Copperheads
Coaldale Copperheads are still on pace of opening the season on a strong note still unbeaten. Following this past weekend they are on a four-game winning streak.
With only a sole game hosting the Banff Bears, the Snakes took charge with a final score of 8-0. New to the roster this year is Austyn Moser, who had one heck of a game, with a hat trick and an assist. Brendon Benson, another newcomer, joined Moser with a four-point night scoring once and three helpers.
Single goasl as well came from Ryan Tessemaker, Mackenzie Karl, Clay Vogt and Brady Parenteau. Dillan Kelly stopped all 15 shots he faced for his third career HJHL shutout.
The Copperheads have a quiet weekend coming up with one home game on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. when they host the Ponoka Stampeders. The following weekend it will be much busier with the team’s Thanksgiving three-game home stand — Oct. 8 at 8:30 p.m. against Mountain View, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. against Three Hills and Oct. 10 at 2:30 p.m. against Medicine Hat.
