Coaldale Copperheads, for the second weekend in a row, split games earning only half the points desired.
Dylan Swanson “Bird” was the goal keeper for both sets of games saving 48 out of 54 shots.
Friday night, the squad travelled to High River taking a 7-1 victory over the Flyers.
With two power play goals of the evening from Brady Parenteau and Mack Karl — it set the tone for the Snakes early in the first.
Singles throughout the game came from Tyler Anderson, Brendan Benson, Calvin Swier, and Matt Krusky.
Saturday night, on home ice, the Copperheads had a tough affair facing Blackfalds.
For the second weekend in a row the team could not secure the needed two points against the Wranglers — losing 6-3 with an open net goal.
Shots favoured the Snakes out shooting the Wranglers 45-27.
Goal scorers were Ryan Swier, Jayden Smith and Mack Karl.
Next home action is this Saturday night at 8:30 p.m., as the team tries to defend the tough Strathmore HJHL team.
